"Haat bazar" (हाट बजार) is the Nepali term for a local, periodic open market where people gather to buy and sell everyday goods directly with each other — no middleman, no fixed storefront. HaatBazar takes its name from this tradition and brings it online: instead of a physical square on market day, sellers list items any day of the week and buyers browse, reserve, and meet up directly.
